Hi Chennete. Would it be possible to use one of your pictures (http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=qibla+compass) in the Wikipedia entry for the Qibla compass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qibla_compass).?

Thanks Cynthia! I tried to keep the yolk intact, but at least it ran down artistically :-) I didn't have anything cool to garnish it with, like your green chillies. And your crispy brown lacy whites :-D are beautiful.

That is definitely drool-worthy especially the left side of the pic where the yolk slithers down :)

Thanks Nabeela!

Rone - the things you don't know about people. I usually cook the yolks more for sandwiches, but for this picture I wanted it glistening. And I never had issues with raw-ish eggs...on cake batter, or in fried eggs. Yes to the crispy burnt white though!

The pic is nice but I think egg yolk is disgusting to this day. I prefer them as done as they can possibly be and have always loved the whites of the egg, this has to do with a hyper aversion to rawness in any form or state. Yolks for me are best overcooked then drowned in black pepper and salt. I do love a really crispy almost burned whites for fried eggs...no clue why...and so much for growing up

Hi Ewe! Participating in things is fun :-)

Jai and Bee - thanks so much. Bee, I think the texture of boiled egg white was ugh for me (I tried to dispose of it whenever possible, leading to an incident when I was 4 or 5, where my older sister found it among the herbs in the garden...)

Lilandra change your name? merci for the love :-D

you hated whites? i hated the yolk and still do with a passion - but i love looking at it, in pics such as yours. thanks for a beautiful entry. the simplest is often the most comforting and the most elegant as well.
