Ok. VoteTTNow seems to be shut down for the moment. EBC shut it down? Exceeding bandwidth as everyone everywhere checks in to try to make sense of the new boundaries and prepare for voting? Who knows. It was not official. It didn't claim to be...Not sure if that means it should be shut down...who knows the rationale behind these things

Oh, and as to whether we already know each other, or are linked on FB somehow...I think judging by your initial profile description that we are about the same age...so given the size of this country, anything is possible. I think I have more clues than you as to who I am though. I mean. People know the composition of my family. Religious practices. Travel itinerary. Freakish dislikes. It's all here for the truly macocious.

hehe...no, I doubt you would have heard of me in that context (as a news-making lawyer) I am fairly low profile in that sense (unless you knew what you were looking for and were extremely vigilant!)
Chennette briefly joined Facebook. But realised there would be problems when actual friends who know me and Chennette would be forced to deal with 2 personalities online. Thereby increasing the possibility of outing! And I just didn't have the energy to maintain 2 characters in every sphere of activity :-) While there is some merit for Chennette to participate in Facebook (especially since people seem to be using my doubles and roti pix willy-nilly) for now it's just for me to connect with old friends.
I actually don't mind if individual people know who I am, I just prefer that online there is no automatic association with what Chennette says and me...or my job.
Plus, as a lawyer, I am of course naturally paranoid!

Chennette, sorry, this has nothing to your post. I'm just leaving a reply to a comment you left on my blog earlier.

Gyul, I am always this close to having my anonymity shattered. A relative of mine almost outed me once to a coworker of his who is a very close relative of another blogger. I didn't even know they worked together. I don't think the co-worker picked up though.

Facebook is also another challenge. Facebook made me realize that there were old friends of mine who read my blog, so I have to be careful what I say. I also learned through Facebook the identity of a couple other bloggers, lol. I have friends in common with others. Who knew blogging could be so cloak and dagger?

But if all the people who know a little about me got together at least one of them should figure out that they know me. Besides that though, I've done much worse on my own to out myself - that I won't say what it was.

Are you on Facebook? We're probably not neighbours, but we could be Facebook friends or at least have friends in common.

Since you are a lawyer, would I ever have heard of you? You don't need to answer that if you don't want to. But you probably already know that - being a lawyer and all.
