Hey ewe! Somehow I didn’t get notification of this comment, so apologies.
I am looking forward to cooking in the new kitchen although it has much less counter space. But it’s a bigger and better stove! We’ll see about the rust then Envious? I wish for better organisation. And the ability to find great deals like some people…truth is I am probably not a very creative solitary cook, so having people willing to eat my food (and keep company in the kitchen) helps. And Sophia…apparently they cook a LOT…even baking from scratch. He was quite proud to tell us that.

Oh, and I can’t believe your cooking skills would ever rust away…. your cooking skills were stellar! You always made the most interesting things in our kitchen. In fact, the only person who really sucked in the kitchen was, well, me.
Jeff made awesome curry. Jess knew her way around the kitchen. Sophia was learning.

And, although based on only one meal, Jeff and Tamara seemed to be well on their way to becoming master chefs in their new place.

I’m always a little envious of people who seem so comfortable in the kitchen creating food. My meals are more basic.

oh yeah, they were definitely from a box (still homemade) that year…now nothing comes from a box anymore, unless it’s tea

Scones from scratch??! I think not, unless he has upgraded his technique, I seem to remember him always making them from a box. But Ewe is right, Sunday mornings it was. In fact I might have a picture for proof lying around here somewhere….

Ah yes. Arrived this morning for about 30 hours. I doubt I will see any fireworks though, as it has been raining constantly. Oh well, I feel the independent spirit anyway, although not the 45 years

It is good that you enjoyed your much needed holidays and met up with your friends and our family friends who were very happy to see you and host you as well in the UK . From Gatwick to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, London and Cambridge and culminating in Glasgow and by train as well ; How lovely. Love the trains…….
