Island Hopping

well, when jetting around the islands, remember to not check any luggage unless you don’t really want to see it until you’re back home (luckily I had no intention of checking my luggage, my team leader not so lucky, after traveling in the same clothes for 24 hours, she had to attend the meeting in jeans and slippers)
and apparently one can start flying at 11 pm, sleep for 3 hours in your stopover (in Trinidad, but too short to even think of going home so had to settle for the airport hotel, which should be renamed), get to the airport again to find out they decided NOT to stop your flight at YOUR destination, so they reroute you several times, but you finally get off another airline in Antigua, thinking, ok, just one more hop, but the airline doesn’t have any record that you were on the plane you just came off.

With the rerouting and standing in line checking and being checked, you miss all mealtimes and still go to a meeting from 1:30 to 5 straight off the plane. Oh and you bump into your boss in the airport in Antigua which is the first time he knew you were traveling, and you can see him looking at you wondering, hmm, is there anything she should have done for me in the office instead.
Good thing though, you learn that in addition to T&T, Guyana, Barbados and Antigua have WiFi in the airport.
And since we were rerouted, I ended up on the same flight as the Master Blaster himself, Sir Viv Richards (former WI captain). The man doesn’t age (he’s proof btw, that blunt and arrogant confidence on the cricket field is not the sole purview of say the Aussies, but to anyone who couldn’t be beat and knew it.

  3. Yes. Now I know it is in all of these islands, except for Jamaica. Where you have to pay.
