Falafel

falafel

I made real falafel today! Tasted almost like the ones I used to get at the Edinburgh Central Mosque – ground chickpeas and lentils, seasoned with fresh green herbs and garlic, and fried – so good and crispy. My first attempt at food placement on a plate for photos.

  4. Yes, I did try to make the presentation look good, otherwise falafel could just look like brown blobs. Ugh. And it was at sister, the elder’s house, so OF COURSE she had lettuce.

  6. Did I not say that I placed the food on the plate for the purpose of the photos? There was no deception there. None at all. And I do eat lettuce – in tuna sandwiches, in Caesar salads, in Zingers and in some salads if I in the mood, but it cannot be wilted or cooked.
